Annual Tree Lighting & Social

Caroling, cookies & cocoa, wine & cheese, and...Santa Claus!

We are thrilled to share that this year's tree has been generously donated once again by Susan Hughes and her family, owners of the Saconessett Homestead. We had several trees to choose from, but this one stood out right away. As you can see, it is truly spectacular. In the photo, Ed Hughes (standing 5'10") gives us a sense of it's impressive height.

Complimentary Craft Kit
WFVA enjoys seeing kids smile so we are again offering a complimentary seasonal craft at the West Falmouth Library. "Mother Goose on the Loose" (Martha Gilbert)will be making these whimsical reindeer at her Tuesday, December 2nd, 10:00 AM gathering. For anyone unable to participate, there will be additional kits at the library for you to take and share with your little ones. Enjoy!

The tree lighting is just 11 days away and we are looking forward to celebrating the season with our neighbors and friends!

The Falmouth High School Chorus, the West Falmouth Preschool Kids and Mimi Schlichter (artist and West Falmouth resident) are ready to entertain as we sing traditional holiday classics. Even though he is very busy, we had an opportunity to chat with Santa last week and he told us that he is excited to see the children!

International Firefighter's Day

On May 3rd, in honor of International Firefighter's Day, the West Falmouth Village Association recognized our local heroes. It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, gestures of appreciation and great energy. The kids from the West Falmouth Preschool walked down, were treated with fire hats, stickers and coloring books and appeared to have a fun and memorable experience. Members of the Village Association Board were present along with our Town Manager and our Select Board Chair to thank the those who keep us safe. We really appreciate that our fire station is open and staffed! Thank you to all who came out to enjoy some cake and celebrate with us.
